We are thrilled to be shortlisted for the PRCA Workplace Champions Awards, celebrating leading places to work and thrive in the PR industry.

At BECG Group our people are the greatest creators of value, and that philosophy informs everything we do. Our ability to strengthen that talent by learning and developing, supporting, and empowering is what gives us competitive advantage and drives BECG Group.

Understanding that our people are our greatest asset means we put their wellbeing and development at the centre of our business strategy and decision making. We believe passionately that investing in the experience of our people, from training and progression, to work-life balance and personal skills is what creates a great workplace.

We are proud to have been recognised for our efforts to create a healthy working environment and committed to constantly searching for ways to improve. We recognise that as a business, we are only as good as our people; and they cannot be effective at work if they are worried about what is going on at home. From our Work that Works model and Private Medical Healthcare, to Mental Health Awareness training and additional gifted time off to spend with loved ones over Christmas, our benefits package is specifically tailored to surveyed feedback, supporting staff at all stages of their lives in ways that really make a positive material difference.

Our Core Competency Framework and Group Training Programme ensure we provide training for all staff across areas of performance measurement, providing clarity of routes to progression and Personal Development Plans mean staff can identify and progress in areas of development bespoke to them.

The impact we make on the wider community is a big part of who we are at BECG Group. Our successful national partnership with The Brain Tumour Charity, has led to a series of regional partnerships with other charitable organisations such as The Murray Parish Trust, raising funds for a paediatric iMRI Suite, Seeds for Growth, working to advance the quality of life for people from disadvantaged communities, and St Basils, working to support young people at risk of homelessness.

We are particularly proud of our recently released Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Strategy. Promoting and supporting diversity in our workplace is an important aspect of good people management – it’s about valuing everyone in the organisation as an individual. With a focus on education via Unconscious Bias and Allyship training and broadening our talent pool via our Disability Confident Employer accreditation and partnership with The Taylor Bennett Foundation, we are committed to ensuring BECG Group is a diverse, inclusive, and great place to work.

Discussing BECG Group’s place on the shortlist for the PRCA Workplace Champions Awards, our founder and CEO, Stephen Pomeroy said:

It is fantastic to be shortlisted for the PRCA Workplace Champions Awards. It recognises all the hard work our team have put in to create a truly great place to work. I am proud to lead an organisation which puts its people first and empowers them to become the best they can be. We look forward to celebrating at the awards in March.

The awards will take place on 9 March 2022.
