Cavendish Advocacy is retained by the BTA to deliver key government affairs and stakeholder engagement functions. This work is aimed at raising awareness of the business travel sector, and the role it plays as a driver of economic growth and international trade. We have also supported the BTA to shape the policy making process by regularly responding to select committee investigations and Government calls for evidence.
The business travel sector has been profoundly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, and Cavendish has helped to connect the BTA with key stakeholders in Government, Parliament and the Civil Service, enabling the BTA to directly communicate what is required to restart business travel and restore confidence in aviation. Alongside this, we have also helped the BTA to establish an APPG for Business Travel, recruiting a cohort of cross-party champions to support the sector from the parliamentary backbenches.

Outcome
- The BTA successfully increased its exposure, and that of his sector, amongst key civil servants and Parliamentarians.
- The BTA established lines of communication to feed into the Government policy machine, and raise awareness of the value which its sector brings to the UK economy.
